| As of Saturday, June 10th, I am officially a bum--ie, I am not a student, and I'm not working yet. It's been a good last couple of days, b/c our friend is in town so I've been able to hit all the places I've been wanting to hit under the guise of taking him around to all the places he wants to see. This included Alki and Pike Place Market... good times.
I felt so blessed to see my friends come out to my departmental graduation to cheer me on. My out-of-town friend observed that I have really good friends--that they have a glow about them, and that they really wanted to be there with me. I am so grateful and feel so very blessed.
Check out pix from graduation on my facebook.
On Wednesday I'm off with Monzy and Pokey to Las Vegas, LA, and San Diego! I'll be back on Monday night, in time for my Tuesday orientation at Boeing. Crazy times, eh? I always remember thinking to myself all the things I'd do when I had graduated (ie, work out, etc), but now I'm wondering if those things will really happen now. My friend was right when he warned me that things never slow down--there's always something keeping you busy. That's why you have to MAKE TIME for what's important to you.
On a sidenote, amongst the many great convos that took place this weekend, a friend passed on some really good advice: Just because you're single, doesn't mean you're alone.
Praise God for His goodness and His good plans. Congratulations to all you fellow graduates... I look forward to what He has in store for all of us! | | |
| The other day I was looking at really old posts from "back in the day" (ie, 3 years ago), and I'm pretty surprised by how my posts have evolved over the years... I feel like I was both more real and more fake back then, hahaha... anyway, I look forward to how posts and life will change in the next coming months.
